Yeah!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ooxmlisdefectivebydesign.blogspot.com\/2007\/08\/microsoft-office-xml-formats-defective.html\">OOXML is defective by design<\/a> provides some nice examples of why Microsoft&#8217;s Open XML is no good.<\/p>\n<p>Don&#8217;t you just love the alarmist headlines TV anchors use to suck you in to the 11:00 news. &#8220;Is your house killing you?&#8221; The answer is invariably no, probably not. It is probably not the end for Microsoft Office either &#8211; except in my house.<\/p>\n<p>I made the switch to OpenOffice.org a few months ago and overall have been happy with it. Now my whole family is using it.
