Hi I’m John Snyders and I’m all about designing and building things. I live in the Boston area with my wonderful wife and two kids. I work as a software developer. I also work with wood and now that I have children I no longer feel silly playing with Lego’s, play dough, Geomag’s etc.

I was born in Toronto, Canada but my family moved to Massachusetts when I was one. I Graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a BS in Computer Systems Engineering in 1988 and have been developing software ever since. I currently work at Oracle by way of their acquiring BEA. If you’re interested you can read the long version.

In my spare time I like to play with my kids, inline skate, work with wood, build Lego MindStorms robots, read about new and interesting things, and visit friends.
